awakens my senses and spirit. I love the feel of the wind on my face and don't
mind donning a sweater or coat.
The rush of waterfalls is music to my ears. In my minds eye, I
feel the spirit of Indians all around as I climb to the top to sit by the falls
and feel its moistness blowing around and the whistle of winds through the
trees. There's nothing like sitting on the rocks surrounding the falls and
breaking out the picnic basket and a thermos of coffee or hot
A trip to the mountains is a must. A much loved place is only an
hours drive from my home. There, we can shop for apples and other fruit. Fresh
fruit pies, canned preserves, jellies chow-chow-you name it and it's yours for
After Summer is over, Autumn allows for a slow down in yard
work, and has me planted firmly in front of my computer. It's a time of giving
myself permission to write for hours on end. Stories that have been with me and
waited for their harvest.
