- A Cowboy's Hero
- Don't we all have our heroes? I know I do. Heroes act upon circumstances, without thought of any danger to themselves.
- This story is about a real hero and his own hero.
- This story is about one of my heroes.

Though this story revolves around a hero, it’s also a heartwarming Christmas account of three people in need of love. Of someone to care. A divorcee who searches for herself as she travels hundreds of miles from home. A young boy who wishes and prays for a loving father. A war vet who chases peace to soothe his grief, and has given up on Christmas. There isn’t anything more likely to soften or help soothe a war vet’s grief, than a child.I believe people come into our lives for a reason, and most times unexpected. Plans and chance meetings can fill lives and hearts with joy and a sense of peace. My wish for you this Christmas season is peace, joy, love, and may you find your own hero.
Divorced, Maddy Cooper and her nine-year-old son, relocate from New Jersey to Texas. Owen wants his dad home, and Maddy wants him left in the past. No problem is ever solved by running away. She meets Garrett Brady, who isn’t her problem, but he could become a complication of the heart.
Grieving Garrett Brady, a war vet, returns to Sandpiper Lake, Texas for a family crisis to salvage the Brady Ranch. The last person he needs to meet is Maddy Cooper, who leases a small home on the Brady Ranch. Against his wishes, she is the one woman that may well help him work through his sorrow, and he’s already lost his heart to her son.
And...He realizes...Sometimes you can go home.
